All the songs on this Maxi
CD are self made, the lyrics express in word notions and emotions, they deal with
everybody`s got to know, but usually never speaking about. The vocals follow the tradition of Beefheart, Waits, Reed and others, but are nevertheless unique, sometimes hypnotizingly erotic, sometimes dull. Their music is reduced to the basic elements of Rock, giving the five songs a sound of enourmous volume and power. It is rough, earthy and refreshening how traditional patterns are interpreted in a modern way. 20 minutes of garage rock at its best. |

The second CD made
by THE RAM includes 13 pieces. All are originals again. For the first time we can listen
to Andy Keil (Such a Type) and to Pitti Meyer (Travelling Man). Nevertheless Bernd
Sütterlin has still composed the majority of the CD. Still oriented to Lou Reed, Tom
Waits but not as hard as before. The Sound is more soft but very warm and bright. Ten
Years Experience of THE RAM helps a lot. With Tom Kauffelt and Peter Gaul we have got
sensationell Photos. Graphic Design made by Annette-Müller Naveau is a beautiful piece of
Art and thruogh the help of our very best friend Steff Werner which has given this Record
the sound we have been more then beeing satified. |
